Scott Storch Producing A ‘Chunk’ Of Former Bad Boy Rapper Shyne’s New Album
Former Bad Boy/Arista Records recording artist, rapper Shyne, now a free man, is returning back to the hip hop scene just two months after walking out of prison in October ‘09 after serving eight years on a 10 year bid (sentence) for his role in a 1999 shooting at a Manhattan club in New York. The rapper is expected to be working with music producer Scott Storch who unveiled the news.
Storch, who is getting back on track himself after battling with drugs and bankruptcy as covered on HipHopRx.com throughout early 2009, revealed to AllHipHop.com his plans to work with Shyne saying “Shyne’s my man.”
“I’ve been talking to him and I was talking to him all through his prison sentence. He’s always remained a loyal person to me,” stated Storch.
Storch continued to reveal that it would not be just one song but he’ll be “doing a chunk on his album.”
“I found out he was a fan and he’s just a hell of a cool guy,” Storch added.
Shyne was sentenced to prison in 2001 after he along with then business associate Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs and his then girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, were allegedly involved in the high-profile incident on December 27, 1999 at the Manhattan club which left the 21-year-old rapper serving a 10 year sentence at the maximum security Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, NY.
In related news, Shyne will also reportedly be appearing on DJ Khaled’s upcoming album, Victory, alongside Akon and Movado on the song “All My Life.”
According to SOHH, DJ Khaled’s Victory is slated for release Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
