Wocka Flocka gets Schooled by Prince Ea on the Garbage Being Accepted in Hip-Hop Today

"People don't wanna hear that dictionary rap..." says southern rapper Wocka Floka Flame in a recent interview.

Prince Ea recently released a very interesting video via www.WorldstarHiphop.com in response to a highly controversial issue discussed by southern rapper Wocka Flocka Flame.

Discussed in his video response, Prince Ea mentions that "It's not that people don't want to hear the intelligent music, or that people would rather hear the unintelligent music, it's that people have been bombarded and fed the unintelligent music for so long that they have developed a tolerance for it. You know, if you eat garbage everyday for a year, you're going to acquire a taste for that garbage, you're going to like that garbage, and this is exactly a parallel to what's going on in hip-hop right now…"

Prince Ea has received some hate comments from music fans around the world regarding his recent rebuttal to the southern rapper's comment about people not wanting to hear intelligent/dictionary rap. Prince Ea has also received much love from hip-hop legends, enthusiasts and a vast amount of music fans who agree with Prince Ea's stance on the issue of ringtone vs. Dictionary rap.

Despite swaying opinions on the current state of hip-hop and its validity compared to the history of the craft, all individuals seem to agree on one thing-- hip-hop has changed! Some argue it has transitioned for the better and some feel as though this is the lowest level of hip-hop as an art form.

As Jay-z said in his recent collaboration video with Absolute Vodka, "Artists shouldn't make albums unless they have something to say… It can't be about money. It has to be something in there that's true to both sides. You can't make art with business in mind, you have to just make music out of passion and then figure out how to be a businessman after that…" With that said, the Make "SMART" Cool movement is a prime example in which many people look to be the revitalization and passion that hip-hop needs. Sha Stimuli (Revolutionary Brooklyn rapper), Fort Knox (manager, motivator and host extraordinaire), Yousef, J. Alex Cowell, Paula Lagree and Moss da Beast are just a handfull of the individuals at the forefront of this movement! In addition, there has been some mention of mainstream hip-hop artists supporting and standing by the movement. Stay tuned, because you will be sure to hear more from this group!
