Law enforcement officials in L.A. County Sheriff's deputies pulled over the couple in a Maybach on Sunset Boulevard around 10:30PM. Wednesday night. Deputies say they smelled marijuana, and after searching the vehicle they arrested T.I. and Tameka.
T.I. and his longtime girlfriend Tiny were married on July 30 in Miami. T.I. is currently on probation after doing seven months in prison on federal weapons charges.
The couple was held on a $10,000 bond.
Currently California will be voting on Proposition 19 in November. If it passes, marijuana will be decriminalized as the state will be allowed to collect taxes on its sale.
It'll still be illegal to drive with weed but smell of marijuana might at most result in a DUI.
Neither T.I. or Tiny were charged with driving under the influence so hopefully this plays out well in his favor and his parole isn't violated.
However with the FEDS, you never know.
And even though it was only marijuana, with the way he escaped from a real prison sentence on the gun possession charges, why was this a risk even worth taking... SMH
