Earlier this week, the hip-hop community lost one of its youngest stars -- M-Bone of the Cali Swag District (CSD) -- to senseless violence. Since the news spread, fans and peers have expressed their condolences to not only the remaining group members, but his family. M-Bone (real name: Montae Talbert) was just 22 years old. This week, his camp revealed that the rapper's funeral will be taking place next Friday (May 27) at 11 a.m. at Faith Central, located at 333 W Florence Ave, in Inglewood, California, his hometown. "There has been a tremendous outreach of concern and the family would like to have the funeral open to the public and fans that would like to support," a rep said. M-Bone was gunned down in a drive-by shooting late Sunday evening (May 15), while standing by his vehicle outside an Inglewood liquor store at around. By the time he was carted to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The rapper's girlfriend has since come out to reveal that M-Bone had been feuding with another man who lived in their same apartment complex, who she says was obsessed with the rapid rise of CSD. Both men threw insults back and forth. While his girlfriend believes the unnamed man could be behind the shooting, no arrests have been made as of press time. The Inglewood City Council has offered a "substantial" reward for information leading to the arrest of the unknown assailant. Inglewood P.D. requests anyone with information to call its homicide division at (310) 412-5246 or 24-hour anonymous hotline, (888) 41 CRIME, or (888) 412-7463. Story: Ballerstatus |
