MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) -- Police in Florida are investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found outside a house owned by rapper Rick Ross.
Miami Gardens police say 39-year-old Gregory Paul Nesbitt was shot several times early Wednesday. Nesbitt's body was found just inside the gate that leads to the house. His car was nearby.
Police do not yet know why Nesbitt was at the house. He has a lengthy criminal history, including a 1994 grand theft auto conviction.Investigators told The Miami Herald that Ross is not considered a suspect. Ross was not at the house and has a different mailing address in the Miami area. The property is listed in county records under the rapper's real name, William L. Roberts II.
Ross could not be reached for comment.
