On August 25, 2012, Dwyane Wade hosted his annual Chicago Has Talent Showcase at the Chicago Theatre, providing Chicago youth with a stage to express their talents in music, rapping, singing, dancing, spoken word, and more! The Showcase is the finale of Wade's World Weekend - the series of events held every summer in Wade's hometown of Chicago benefiting the Wade's World Foundation.
The video above spotlights all of the performers, including 1st place winner, 11-year-old pianist Maeya Ryan, 2nd place winner Jake Julian, and 3rd place winner Kristen Lowe. Plus, Dwyane Wade tells B96's Julian On Da Radio for GWHH about the goals and intentions of Wade's World Foundation. We also speak with Michelle Williams (of Destiny's Child) who was a judge of the event and actress Tika Sumpter, co-host of the evening.
