The Boy Illinois Performs at SXSW and Premiers New single “Ight” on Sways Universe.

After coming off a major performances at SXSW, including Sway’s epic 40-guest 2-day show, The Boy Illinois a.k.a Illi has been riding a tremendous wave since the release of Memoirs of Gilbert Gaston (M.O.G.G.). With his most recent viral release single 'Merci, Merci', the track ties together martyr beliefs, world change, and struggle into one composition. The visual shapes a story of how Chicago life can be a struggle similar but not better to the lives of those in third world countries. Encompassing the gloom that is cast over a people and the democratic government.
Illi is widely recognized as one of Chicago’s most talented up and coming artist of 2013. The first single “Say 2 Much” generated major buzz signifying Illi's polished production and airtight lyricism as unique in its own right.
