Mark Battles came to visit New York the other week, and while he was around we decided to recruit him to film a new episode of Word On The Street, this one tackling more serious subject matter, especially compared to last week's hysterical reaction to Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" music video.
With the current media and news coverage predominantly centered on Ferguson, MO, and Mike Brown having just been laid to rest today, it seems appropriate to hear our own peers' thoughts on the matter. Battles forayed into the New York streets and asked young adults to give their take on the situation: from rap lyrics to the media portrayal, these strangers definitely share some insight on the current situation.
